Smith’s image-making practice engages with the storytelling of unheralded moments within the everyday. By conceptualising photography as an act of prayer, Smith frames image-making as a contemplative process. Through seeing as prayer, photography becomes a kind of devotion, a space where reflection stirs and emotion awakens.
